Message Replaced my stockers with Sport 500's with the engine in.

1) Had a team of people helping
2) took 3 days, lots of frustration, busted knuckles and moments of elation and despair
3) eventually got turbo/manifold bolts loose, but it was looking like a motor pull was going to happen.
4) Factory service manual is pure fiction regarding the breezy 2-page description on R&Ring the turbos.

Would I recommend it as viable? Not for an amateur. I have seen a Nissan mechanic pull them in a shop. He, however was fairly quick & experienced about it. First time for us and we weren't.

Would I say I know that motor really well after that episode? Yes.

For what it's worth, all bolts were tight with no leaks when we pulled the engine to install MS manis and Sport 530's.

Regards,

My Zs are hybrid vehicles, they run on gasoline and money

I'm off to wax mine and go for a drive now.
